Where do I begin ?

When visiting our site, just click on the CLIENTS button.  This will generate a menu on the left side of the page.  Click on the GENRE that you are subscribed to.  A login prompt will appear.  Simply enter your login and password (they're case sensitive), and click OK.  NOTE: If you click on a GENRE that you're NOT subscribed to, it will prompt you for a login again.  Your current ID and password will not work, and you will see an ERROR.  Click "CLIENTS" to start over.   If you're interested in a new genre, either check out the sample feed under "GUESTS" or call your affiliate marketing representative to sign up for that genre.

Clicking on the menu link will show a preview of what the feed looks like in the main frame.   To download the package containing photos, HTML and audio, just click on the download icon next to the text link it accompanies.

When I try to log in, I'm denied access.  Why ?

One reason could be an incorrectly entered login name or password.  Keep in mind that all entries are "case-sensitive".  Often, a lower case "L" is mistaken for the number 1.  You must type in the name and password EXACTLY as it was provided to you.  Another possibility could be a change in your status.  If contracts aren't renewed on time, an account may be deactivated.  If you were affiliated on a trial basis, your trial account may have expired.  If there is doubt, call your affiliate marketing representative.

Please note:  If you've logged in, and then click on a feed that you're NOT authorized for, you will be prompted to log in again.  Your current account does NOT have access to that feed, and you will receive an error.   If you're interested in that feed, please call affiliate marketing to sign up.  For a sample of that feed, check the GUESTS menu.

How do I download and extract the files ?

Just click on the disk icon .  When prompted, choose "SAVE THIS PROGRAM TO DISK" (IE) OR "SAVE TO DISK" (NETSCAPE) and specify a place on your hard drive. (We suggest creating a directory called "C:\downloads" to avoid confusion.  You should overwrite this file each day that you download.)

You can optionally choose to right click on the disk icon, and choose "SAVE TARGET AS" (IE) or "SAVE LINK AS" (NETSCAPE")

Once downloaded, you do not need to stay online.  Just go to that .EXE file and double-click it.  It will extract your files to a directory called C:\launchdaily.  (No need to create it...it's done for you !)  Each day, your code will extract to this directory, in a subdirectory based on the genre (e.g.: C:\launchdaily\rock )

How do I use the files that I've just extracted ?

The files will extract to your C drive under the LAUNCHdaily directory, in a subdirectory named for that genre ( e.g.: pop, rock, etc. ). Simply delete the prior day's content from your web structure, then cut & paste the new files into your web structure. Create a link in your site, to point to the .HTM page in that directory (e.g.: rock.htm )  Now, when that link is clicked, the content will appear on your site, along with the relative links to the photos and audio.

You also have the option of editing these files to match the style of your website (add graphics, replace fonts, change colors) OR you can simply download one of our stylesheets and put the style.css file in the same directory as the LAUNCHdaily .htm page

For more instructions (with screenshots), check out our tutorial.

What is the audio format used ?

We use a flat / non-streaming Real Audio file.   This file is extremely small in size and can be downloaded quickly for playback on an end-user's PC.  It does not require any type of streaming server.  We do however stress that your server should have the .RM MIME TYPE configured, so that your users have an easier time playing back audio.
(example: audio/x-pn-realaudio ra ram rm)

When I log in, the prep material is outdated...

On rare occasions, we could be experiencing server problems, in which case you should contact us...but usually the problem is local (at your browser) or with your internet provider.  First step is to clear the cache of the browser you're using.  Then, shut down the browser, and return to our site.   Always log on to our site from a fresh session... don't bookmark a logged-in session.

Also, if you find that the files you extract from the EXE are outdated, make sure that you're extracting the file that you just download, as opposed to an old EXE that you downloaded previously.

I use a MAC/PowerPC. Can I still use your website ?

The downloadable EXE file is a compressed .ZIP package that contains the .html text, Real Audio clips and photos.  To open this package on a MAC, a user would need DropStuff with Expanded Enhancer or StuffIt Deluxe 5.5 from Aladdin Systems.

I've forgotten my password.  What can I do ?

You should call or e-mail your affiliate marketing representative for any lost or forgotten login information.  If you do not know who your affiliate representative is, check HERE.

What is this XML file that's included in my download ?

This XML file is a new option.  Some web developers would prefer our content in XML (Extensible Markup Language) instead of HTML, as it may integrate more easily with their current website.
If you are NOT familiar with XML, you can safely delete this file, or simply ignore it.
