I got into this because I was entertained when I went to go see Reba McEntire and George Strait and the Judds, and that's why I'm in the business, is to help people have fun and just have a blast with the crowd and so that's what I'm hoping to do--leave people feeling entertained." The Burn tour is scheduled to run throughout the summer, wrapping up on September 22 in Bloomsburg, Pennsylvania. Messina is nominated in the category of top female vocalist at the upcoming Academy Of Country Music Awards on May 9. We created our new sound with Lonely Grill, but we grew into it with this new one. We really just picked songs that we could enjoy playing for a long time to come and I think that's what we have in the finished product. We have a whole album of songs that we really love and hopefully that will speak for itself." While Britt and his bandmates are clear on the direction they are headed with the new album, the guitar player wasn't so clear on how to describe the upcoming CD. "I don't think any of us have found a great way to describe it yet. It's kind of like Lonely Grill, but then it's got new stuff...something new about it, but I'm not sure what it is yet. Hopefully, everybody will like it." Lonestar's I'm Already There will be in stores on June 26. |
